Voor sommige belangrijke documenten heb je een apostille nodig om deze in het buitenland te kunnen gebruiken. Denk hierbij aan documenten zoals geboorteakten, huwelijksakten, schooldiploma’s, zakelijke documenten en KVK uittreksels. Zodra er een apostille op het document staat, is deze legaal te gebruiken in 122 landen die aan het Apostille Verdrag aangesloten zijn. Een apostille wordt ook wel een apostillestempel genoemd omdat het document via een stempel wordt gelegaliseerd als bewijs van goedkeuring.

Waarom is een apostille voor mijn document nodig?

Een apostille is een specifieke vorm van legalisatie die internationaal erkend wordt en vaak vereist is bij het gebruik van officiële documenten in het buitenland. Het doel van een apostille is om de authenticiteit van een openbaar document te bevestigen, zodat het in een ander land kan worden gebruikt zonder verdere legalisatieprocedures.

Een apostillestempel op je document zorgt er dus voor dat je jouw document zonder verdere juridische en administratieve moeilijkheden kunt gebruiken in verschillende landen. Deze landen moeten wel aangesloten zijn bij de Haagse Apostille Conventie. Dit Apostilleverdrag bestaat uit 122 aangesloten landen waar je jouw document kunt gebruiken.

Luis and his team deserve 5 starts! We found them through youtube when I was puzzled with all rules and regulations for my apostille for my birthcertificate which I needed very fast! His movies explained easily what it was, and what needed to be done. We decided to make use of his services, there are many providers but all of them request you sending your birth certificate across seas.
