Do you need to use Dutch documents in South Africa? For a visa application, employment contract, marriage, university admission or emigration? In most cases, an apostille is all you need. JuridConsult ensures fast and careful legalisation of your documents, so they are accepted smoothly by South African authorities.
We legalise birth certificates, diplomas, Certificates of Good Conduct (VOGs), notarial deeds and marriage certificates, among others.
South Africa is a member of the Hague Apostille Convention. This means that an apostille — issued by a Dutch court — is sufficient to make your document legally valid in South Africa. You therefore do not need to take additional steps through the embassy.
More information on the difference between apostille certification and other types of legalisation can be found on our page about document legalisation.
In most cases, we provide the apostille for South Africa within one working day. You submit the original document, and we handle the rest — without delays or unexpected costs. The fees are:
€26.00 per document
JC handling fee: €52.00 + 21% VAT
Subtotal: €88.92
Note: the court only accepts original documents. Copies or scans cannot be apostilled.
For South Africa, the apostille is most commonly issued in English, but other language options are available depending on the receiving authority:
If a translation is required, we can also assist with a sworn English translation that meets South African government standards.
Jurid Consult also provides legalisation services for countries that do not accept apostilles — such as the United Arab Emirates — and can assist with embassy legalisation when required.
In a hurry? Use our priority legalisation service to have your documents processed the same day where possible.
We also handle apostilles for the United Kingdom and many other countries, allowing you to prepare documents for multiple destinations at once.
